About Eurekak!

Eurekak (noun): a moment of inspiration that on closer inspection turns out to be rubbish.

All of us have experienced inspiration at some point or other. It is a glorious moment, a spark of something ethereal that links us with the divine, a moment of such energy and creativity that we are forced to echo Archimedes and bellow Eureka! into the void and run naked into the streets to tell passers-by of our discovery.

Well. Sometimes it works like that.

But quite often it works like this: you are hit with a moment of inspiration. You cheer and run naked into the streets. As you pass the woman from number 46 and she observes your bits wobbling in the evening sun, you realise that actually, the idea you’ve had, your message from the divine is actually rubbish. This is a Eurekak moment.

This blog exists to celebrate the hilarious world of rubbish inspiration. Whether it was an idea you had while drunk or a piece of brilliance that you scribbled on a scrap of paper on your bedside table in the early hours, this blog wants to show that even moments of rubbish inspiration can still be brilliant.
